Here are three activities which I do to ensure I have a balanced and health lifestyle.

Those three things are eating healthy water-rich foods, exercising regularly, and reading every day.
1. Eating a balanced diet consisting of water-rich foods means that roughly 50 percent of my food is fruits and vegetables.
This means I eat fresh fruits everyday such as oranges, bananas, and pineapple as well as fresh vegetables such as cucumbers, celery, and carrots. Just as the Bible says that man was made of the dust of the ground (Genesis 2:7), I believe it is important that I also eat a diet consistent to my “roots” which come of the ground. Why eat a diet consisting of water rich foods? When I do so, I have more energy, I feel better during the day, and I sleep better at night. These water rich foods also give me the nutrients that my body needs to survive and thrive.
2. Exercising regularly means that I will go for a long walk or lift weights at least four days a week.
Realistically, I am able to exercise every single day, but I do try to exercise at least four days a week. Heart disease runs in both sides of my family; therefore I know that it is important that I exercise regularly. Either by walking with my wife or lifting weights in our apartment. Through exercise I raise my heart rate temporarily and keep my body, heart, and mind is sound health.
3. I read daily.
Nothing helps me to relax more than sitting quietly with a book. This can be a book for school which I particularly enjoy, a book I read aside from school that is less academic, or the time I spend reading my Bible in the morning before I start my day. Because a balanced and healthy lifestyle consists of more than just physical health, I believe taking time to read on a daily basis also helps me to maintain my mental health.
I believe that when I eat healthy water rich foods daily, exercise at least four days a week, and read daily, I am successful as a student, employee, husband, and leader.
